theleavingcert.com is a leaving cert blog which provides news, tips, advice & general leaving cert information. Articles are submitted by current & ex-students.
What are our goals?
Our goals are simple;
- to give all students a stage upon which to voice their opinions
- to create the largest active leaving cert community in the country
Site History
The Leaving Cert Dot Com was set up in August 2006 by a then leaving cert student. Back in those days leaving cert websites were few and far between so the founder just wanted a place to share notes, tips and opinions…
theleavingcert.com has been revamped multiple times over the years and is still growing and developing rapidly. It’s one of the country’s largest and most visited ‘leaving cert’ websites. As of May 2010 the site averages around 15,000 unique visits per month and over 30,000 pageviews per month. Approximately 90% of traffic comes from search engines.
Expansion
In May 2010, theleavingcert.com acquired a rival site in the form of leaving-cert.net. It is anticipated that both sites will be merged by September 2010 to create one large site. Once merged together, theleavingcert.com is expected to become Ireland’s largest leaving cert website.
