Changes for 2011/2012

We’re in the process of making some changes for the class of 2011/2012…

Part of the ‘problem’ with the existing set up is that we had a bunch of new bloggers at the start of every year, posting furiously. As the year would go on, there’d be a drop off in posts and content would dry up. We’ve previously had a blanket ban on accepting new bloggers after the start of a year which also alienated quite a few potential bloggers.

This year we’re eager to give you, the students, more power and control over what happens on theleavingcert.com. We’ll be moving more towards a community / social network rather than one big blog which we control but we’re well aware that blogging has made theleavingcert.com & students.theleavingcert.com what they are today so we’ll definitely be keeping that blogging element… in fact there’ll be more blogging than ever this year…

We’re in the process of testing a new system which enables anyone to signup and get blogging immediately. When will it be ready? We hope to have it online by the end of the month.

Changes are coming…

  1. Hey, this is Richard, your friendly 2010/2011 LC blogger. Just wondering what on Earth happened to my LC results + HPAT blog post I submitted about 2 weeks ago now? Still not published.

    1. Hmm.. doesn’t appear to be in our database but we’ll crawl the archives and see if we can find it!

    2. Definitely nothing in there i’m afraid, it must not have saved properly ๐Ÿ™ if you have the post saved offline, feel free to republish but apart from that, unfortunately nothing we can do!

  2. Thankfully I had it saved and resubmitted it – thanks! Thought it’d be unfair to both avid readers if I didn’t at least say how I got on. ๐Ÿ™‚
