theleavingcert.com was originally created in 2006 as a place for students to share notes and write about their leaving cert experiences. Over the years it has morphed in to a general Leaving Cert site publishing news, notes, tips & reviews from past and present leaving cert students. The site also provides easy access to higher and ordinary level exam papers and marking schemes.
What are our goals?
Our goals are simple;
- to give all students a stage upon which to voice their opinions on the leaving cert
- to create the largest active leaving cert community in the country
Site History
The Leaving Cert Dot Com was set up in August 2006 by a then leaving cert student. Back in those days leaving cert websites were few and far between so the founder just wanted a place to share notes, tips and opinions…
theleavingcert.com has been revamped multiple times over the years and is still growing and developing rapidly. It’s one of the country’s largest and most visited leaving cert websites. In May 2010, theleavingcert.com acquired a rival site in the form of leaving-cert.net. Both sites merged in September 2010 to create one large site.
