So there’s only 3 more days of school until the christmas holidays – a time to relax, chill out and not have to worry about getting assignments in the following day… or as teachers see it, a two week break to give us an obscene amount of work to do so we dont go getting ourselves into trouble!
Just today in my english lesson i had a discussion with a fellow classmate about the Leaving Cert syllabus and how student un-friendly it is and how it has absolutely nothing to do with how smart you are, its all based on luck!
When this year is over i will be so overjoyed because there is way too much emphasis put on this exam. Way too much that any one person should have to deal with! When are you ever going to be able to quote 8 poets? Not even in the real thing as you only need to answer on one!
The sooner they start bringing in the continuous assessment the better. I really think that everyone would benefit from it and it would keep everyone working and not leaving everything until after the mocks when your parents have just started realising how badly you’re doing!
