The entire Irish education system is horrible, but the fact that it’s all building to one huge set of exams that for some people never end up being that important.. Is something I just can’t get my head around. The idea of doing English paper 1 on Wednesday is making me feel ill. That’s not right. No one should have to feel this much pressure or unhappiness because of exams. I don’t even know if I’ll use my leaving Cert, yet I still “have to” do it. And I’ll still have to deal with other people dissapointment in me if I do badly, even if I’m not dissapointed in myself. Because of this system that is against any kind of success that’s not intellectual.
