French Exam and Imminent Freedom

After six years of learning French simply for the purpose of this exam, I’m at a bit of a loss now that it’s over. The written paper this morning was, in one word, ‘lovely’. Topics featured include global warming, sports, the importance (or subjective unimportance) of literature as a subject in schools, the internet and a typical journal intime. I even opted to do an extra question, as they were all pretty manageable and timing wasn’t tight.

I found the aural easy enough, having spent three weeks of last summer speaking French at a language course, (which was pretty hellish, no matter what the benefit I wouldn’t recommend ELC to anyone) I was quite used to hearing the language. How did everyone else find it? How was the ordinary level paper? A few friends of mine are still at school awaiting their history exam. Oh how I would hate to be them right now, I’m basically drained and appreciate having the half day before biology tomorrow.

Eight exams down, two to go. Can’t you almost taste the freedom? It’s so close! After economics next Wednesday I will have absolutely no idea what to do with myself, that feeling will last for about ten minutes. Then all of those subdued plans will come into action to hopefully make for the best summer since Bryan Adam’s in 69. Ah yes. I have a ‘list’ you see, and everything I couldn’t do these past few months thanks to the leaving cert went on the list, I relish the thought of ticking them off one by one.

What are everyone else’s plans for this sure to be fantastic summer? I bet half the country is going to Oxegen again, the line-up sure is excellent. I’m off to Glastonbury myself in two weeks, and simply CANNOT WAIT. Let the good times roll 😉

    We got through most of them, never quite managed to feed the ducks in a local pond though.

    im banking on

    bronze age for irish

    gothic and romanesque for european

    but then again i could do impressionism if it came up
    or any renaissance

    yeah i know talk about the two most broad courses on one day like! yeah im not happy with my irish section because i prefer to do newgrange normally! yeah european is the easiest section! lets hope visit to an art gallery comes up seeing as thats about the extent as my appreciation goes =)

    I have no list of things to do after the exam per say, but I do intend to have a can of Heineken open and firmly in my hand before I’m even out the door of my school. Within a couple of hours we’ll be cracking open the Jack Daniels, and by midnight we’ll have probably have gotten deep into the drugs.

    It’s going to be emotional.

    completely disagree with your outlandish derogatory terms towards elc.
    now i don’t do french but i went to the german course in alexandra the previous 2 years and i have made some amazing friends from them, and they were certainly not hellish!

    thats mad ha would have thought the french would have been cool. german last year were extremely strict on punctuality. haha stereotype much like lol. friend went to the spanish one aswell as the german one and she prefered the spanish, said they were ever so casual!
