Leaving cert is just rote learning

I just feel like the LC is for those who work hard and rote learn rather than express their natural intelligence…it’s quite annoying and old fashioned, my brother was one who succumbed to laziness and not studying. Although naturally smart, he achieved a lot lower than he should have. My sister (no offence to her) is not naturally brainy…but achieved around 500 by just working hard. There’s 5 weeks until the leaving and I’m very stressed because I lack the ability to rote learn and lack the discipline to understand why a government should tell me how I should learn. Someone placed an Einstein quote on here which perfectly put the LC into perspective. Like my sister I should be hitting 500…however I have not worked and fear I will end up like my brother. Ps although he did get in UCD, he ended up dropping out in first year…something I fear may happen me. If anyone has any advice or are even suffering in any way please reply or even do one of these rants…it feels good to get this off my chest, maybe it will help you.
