Like a lot of you, i was fully expecting Boland to show up on today’s paper two and for all those people with their eggs in Boland’s basket, you just got unlucky. Even the bookies had Boland down as one of the favorites to show up too. Anyway here’s what you guys are telling us on our facebook…
Shaunna: There was a load of people crying in our exam hall cause our teacher told us boland and longley were almost defo gonna come up!

There had even been a facebook page set up yesterday called “if eavan boland doesnt come up tomoro there will be war”. Today, someone else has set up a page called I too have been stood up by eavan boland! :(. Total number of fans? 644.
Many of you guys are furious and despite what people will say, you were just unlucky. We all make predictions, we all play percentage games at times and this was one calculated risk which just backfired horribly. Teachers & students alike will be cringing now, with hindsight of course, but it’s important to move on and bury the negative thoughts…

This is ridiculous! I studied both Boland and Longley to the point of where I had metaphors for the Troubles coming out of my ears! What the hell happened?
I know, i knew them sooooo well. Everyone was saying they were defo up :/ I only knew a tiny bit about Kavanagh. Like 2 pages worth haha.
Its not ridiculous at all.. you should have studied the right amount of poets like you’re supposed to.. Nobody should be complaining.
