What? That’s it? Huh?

I have finished school.
Bam.
Truth be told ladies and gentlemen, I was not that bothered.. Seriously the last week, people were going crazy running around and taking pictures like there was no tomorrow.. I was finding this kind of annoying to be honest. I am a tad stressed and would have preferred to either have “real” classes or to be allowed stay at home and get work done opposed to just spending hours sitting around. Having said that, periodically I get hit by a big wave of emotion. Like, here I am, looking at said pictures on Facebook and it just hit me, I am never going to sit through a forty minute class ever again. Weird.

Graduation was nice. Mainly due to the fact our principal is leaving this year too which made her speech at our mass quite poignant, something along the lines of “Class of 2009, we are leaving together.”
I didn’t cry but I could have. Does that makes any sense? Perhaps not.

Something else which strikes me at this time, beautiful, breathtaking and brilliant altogether Berocca. Does anybody else find that these work? Because I do! Discovered these little gems while I was away in Sweden and they basically kept me alive. Not so good in Vodka though but I’ll let you discover such things in your own time. I am trying not to take them now until they exams start so I don’t become immune. They’re expensive but I can justify it due to the fact post consumption I can feel my brain coming to life again, pow pow shoot neuron go go!!

God, sorry guys for the boring post. What can I say, I’m a boring girl. I did however enjoy Eurovision last night, is there anybody left who isn’t in love with the pretty Norwegian? I was also in Tesco last night, buying marmalade (I’m addicted, god it’s amazing). (The picture is EXTRA big for EXTRA emphasis.. or something)
Anyway, I was people watching, cause that’s the kinda thing I like to do. I noticed that there were SO many teenagers just stocking up of drink and clearly planning on having fun that cold Saturday night. Then I realised exactly how pathetic the Leaving Cert has made me. I get excited over finding the right brand of MARMALADE. For fucks sake like, that’s just lame. I was happy because I was able to go home and make toast. While sitting, with my cats, watching Eurovision and drinking tea. Thanks Leaving Cert… Thanks a bunch.

Until next time,
Marie!

… Gonna go encourage that LC baby weight and have some toast.. nom nom nom.

  1. Crazy cat lady in the making.

I finish on Thursday. Gonna be such a thrill! Had a little moment when I realised I’d participated in my LAST EVER PE CLASS EVER on Friday. (ever)

  2. God I am.. Just sitting in, even wearing my Aran cardie…

I can only describe it as weird.
Probably not as weird as the fact that I’m watching Circle of Friends and really wishing I could live in 1950’s Ireland for a week or two…

  3. I have been knocking back the berocca like nobody’s business! Local pharmacy is doing two for 1 at the moment!

  4. Berocca sounds like ‘broccoli’ and ‘verruca’ smooshed together. I find neither appetising.

Also, you can’t say you’ll never have another PE class for sure. What if you become a PE teacher? What if you get mangled in a car accident and have to be physically educated again. You have to consider these things before you make vague statements!

  5. You do! I’m impressed and congratulate you ๐Ÿ˜€
Yah, I only got back in when all the national-y stuff was over but oh well! Plenty of that to come.
Fifty points for the weird intro ๐Ÿ™‚

  6. Berocca.. EYP secret. I’ll be seeing you around I guess as I know most of the Stock crowd already. PS, I hope the blogging functioned as a stress reducer. I read it randomly here and there to re- realise that the animal that is the leaving cert. student is simply one who is going into extinction (but happily). See you around and best of luck.

I win the award for strangest intro ever.

    Adrian

  7. Y’know, there’s a comma button riiiiight next to that full-stop. Just to the left of it. Might help you sound more coherent. Just sayin’ =P

Describing what ‘EYP’ and ‘Stock crowd’ are might help too…

  8. How on earth would a comma have helped? O.o …
I’m sure the person to which it was aimed understood anyway which is the important thing.
EYP, okay I know for a fact this has been defined constantly but anyway, European Youth Parliament.. Basically it’s nerds on tour. Delegations from each country are sent to attend a “session” in which about 200 European youths get together and the whole thing culminates with two days of debating in something called “General Assembly” which takes the format of the European Parliament. Iz bitchin’ cool.

Stock crowd are then the EYP-ers who trotted off to Stockholm. We also go by the name of Stockhomies… Ahem.

  9. EYP is European Youth Parliment, from what I can gather. They seem to have met in Stockholm. That is all I know…

  10. Are you all fighting over me, or is that just my narcissistic imagination?

Now that you mention it, I remember the fake parliament thing in Stockholm. The acronym just didn’t click with me, nor did ‘Stock’ as in ‘Stockholm’. (I figured EYP was more something along the line of FTW, wasn’t thinking organisations)

    The sentence
“I read it randomly here and there to re- realise that the animal that is the leaving cert. student is simply one who is going into extinction (but happily). “
really threw me though without proper punctuation. Got it eventually.

Agree with you Jennie, people need to learn how to elipsate correctly!

  11. You say that now, but soon I’ll come up with a title so attention-grabbing even Helen Keller will be wondering what’s up. You’ll be reading it before you even realise what you’re doing. And then we’ll see who’s lolling! Mark my words Liam, I WILL have the last lol.

  12. Wouldn’t be a last lol unless it was actually the last lol.
Or I kill you, and then lol.
    Hurm.
